Port Richmond's Nick Caputo led a contingent of young runners in a strong 16:28 in sunny Clove Lakes Park. Running a modified 3-mile course, Nick was followed by St. Peter's James Mauro in 16:43. Scott LaMorte, showing signs he's returning to form, followed in 17:21. The top five were rounded out by Sean Lynch (17:28) and Pete Williams (17:53).

The women's contest was won by 14-year-old Jenna Levendosky in a time of 22:15. She was followed by Corinne Smith (22:22) and 12-year-old Alexis Bivona in 22:40.
