3 Mile Fun Run

Ervin Maddox and Gail Marino were the winners at the weekly SIAC Run for Fun at sunny Clove Lakes Park. Maddox covered the three-mile course in 18:17, narrowly defeating Steven Hook (18:22). Mike Ricciardone (19:13), Steve Woitkowski (19:34) and Daniel Bisceglie (19:38) rounded out the top five overall finishers.
Marino won the women's race in 20:25, with Debra Mahr second in 22:38. Nancy Wickstrom (26:14), Lisa Rigolini (26:15) and Ellen Brennan Hearn (27:09) were third through fifth, respectively.
There were a whopping 31 runners from St. Peter's High School, mainly from the basketball team. All runners in this Fun Run had to dodge cross-country runners warming up or conversing before a big High School race at Clove Lakes Park.
There will be no Fun Run next Saturday due to the Staten Island Academy 5K Run.
