3 Mile Fun Run

Sean McCauley and Gail Marino posted victories at the weekly SIAC Run for Fun at sunny Clove Lakes Park. McCauley covered the three-mile course in 17:54, narrowly defeating Ervin Maddox (18:04). Art Noland (18:29) and Mike Ricciardone (19:34) were third and fourth, while Ronald Plummer Jr. and Bill McGuigan tied for fifth in 19:41.

Marino won the women's race in 20:43, with Gisselle Gutierrez second in 22:21. Inez Montalvo (23:16), Caitlin Hogan (23:26) and Nicole Quattroconi (25:16) were third through fifth for the women.

The Fun Run saw a big turnout among high school teams from Petrides, St. Peter's and New Dorp, which has been a recent trend at Clove Lakes Park..
