3 Mile Fun Run

Jonathan Perina and Annmarie Ruta were the winners at the weekly SIAC Run for Fun at Clove Lakes Park. Perina covered the three mile course in 16:33, outlasting Ryan McDermott (16:59) and Scott LaMorte (17:16). Ken Pickell (18:15) and Frank Connelly (18:22) finished fourth and fifth, respectively.

Ruta won a competitive women's race in 21:21, followed closely by Christine Connelly (21:47) and Pat O'Brien (21:53). Lisa Rigolini (26:31) and Ruth Fairbrother (31:10) were fourth and fifth among the women.

The weather was ideal for running today, as the fast times reflected. Jonathan Perina and Annmarie Ruta won competitive races, while other performances also stood out. Ryan McDermott broke 17:00 in finishing second, and 10-year-old Christine Connelly shattered her previous best time with a 21:47 finish. Welcome to new Fun Run enthusiast Leon Finkelshteyn.
