3 Mile Fun Run

Mike Cassidy and Kristin Farley were the winners at the weekly SIAC Run for Fun at Clove Lakes Park. Cassidy covered the three-mile course in 16:01, outlasting his MSIT teammate Chris Greene (16:55). Scott LaMorte (17:19), Dane Buchanon (17:46) and Anthony Pitarresi (17:56) finished third through fifth overall.

Farley handily won the women's division in 18:48, with Gail Marino second in 21:26. Pat O'Brien (21:40), Christine Connelly (22:14) and Corinne Smith (22:42) rounded out the top five females.

Seasonal early spring temperatures and clear skies greeted the runners today, and times were very fast as a result. The top five men all broke 18:00, with winner Mike Cassidy running the fastest winning time in the last few years at the Fun Run (16:01). On the women's side, 15-year-old Kristin Farley sizzled with an 18:48 winning time, ninth overall. Ten-year-old Christine Connelly continues to shine week after week, posting a fine 22:14 today.

There will be no Fun Run next Saturday due to the High Rock Team Challenge.
